Hi - Just saw your inquiry about a "Jesse Hosner" I live in Romeo, Michigan, and the Hosners have been in this area since before the Civil War. I don't know if it is the same person, but a "Jesse Hosner" from Romeo served in the First Michigan Cavalry (along with his brother Jacob ((or maybe cousin)) during the Civil War. As you may know, this regiment was commanded by Custer at Gettysburg. I think this Jesse is also mentioned on Romeo's Civil War monument.
