I'm still looking for ancestors of Joseph Hosley ( my (3) great grandfather) who was born in Vermont probably in Addison County, however there is a "Hosley Hill" in southern Vermont between W. Halifax and Whitingham given to an early member of the Hosley family for his payment for serving in a war. Joseph Hosley was born in 1777 and died in Michigan (Livingston County)in 1855. I am looking for his siblings names, parents names and any other Hosley connected with this family. He married Sarah Northrup in New York state on April 6, 1820 (she was the daughter of William Northrup and ?) and they lived in Madison County, New York near the town of Sullivan and were farmers. They moved to Michigan in 1836. They had three sons William Kendall Hosley born in N.Y. July 7, 1821 and Holland C. Hosley Jan. 15, 1823, and Miner A. Hosley born in N.Y. 1829 and died 1832 and was buried in that state near their home. Their sons Wm. K., and Holland C. came to Michigan with them. Any help would be appreciated.
