Pam see my posting #313 which lists the children and where it said on their census records they were born.Did you check the church records in MD?Please read each posting for each child.I don't understand all the births for Md when most said they were born in PA.Remember the area the lived in VA/WV was part of PA for a number of years.Isaiah was married around 1792 ( don't mean he married her then) to Hannah Beard when she inherited from her father, she could not have been the mother of the older children. Hannah was born in 1758 and would have to have at least one of them around 13, no way. There is plenty of time between the kids for him to have had other wives. Also look at the names of the kids and their kids. There was an Isaiah Jr who was involved with Isaiah Sr's probate in LC no mention of a Josiah. And I did search for Josiah and I don't see how he would fit in.His census shows he was born in MD.I cannot see Isaiah flitting back and forth to Maryland in the time frame he lived, the Am. Rev. was getting ready to start. This family could read and write which was rare, almost all of his kids could read and write. Why would they not know that they were born in MD?I am confused with this issue and I wish someone would tell me the birth info from MD if they were born there.I spent hours and hours on the census records and I posted what I found in #313.ThanksPaula
