Footnotes: I found no probate record or inventory with this will. This will was difficult to read and contained many misspellings, at least by current-day standards.Penmanship was not good, but I cannot tell if it was the fault of the scribe, his quill, or his paper.I have underscored (in my original transcription) my insecure guesses and have also put underscores where there are words or monetary amounts for which I hesitate to hazard a guess (These show in GENFORUM).I appear to be descended from Christopher’s son, Thomas.St Breward church record (IGI Batch P017301) has son Thomas baptized on 4 July 1619, plus baptisms of siblings (Ann, Avice, Edie, and John).Brother Edy (mentioned in will) had a son named Nathaniel baptized in 1627, with the mother’s name of Margery.I do not absolutely know the name of Christopher’s wife, even though she is mentioned in the will. This is because the writing is not legible; it looks a bit like Ahillnpe—maybe Phillipa (or possibly Hillary).
