Have you ever learned any more about Emily Hoskin/Haskins?I've been tracing [for a friend..not my relatives] the Hoskin/Hoskins/etc. family in Lewis County, NY, and wondered if you have any further info. From her date of birth, I'd venture a guess that she might be a daughter of Cyrus and Jemima Post Hoskins, but I have not seen her on any listing of their children. The person I've been researching for descends from Samuel Milton Hoskins, son of Cyrus and Jemima, and he was born in 1830.I have virtually no information on Cyrus Hoskins, other than the info from my friend that he married again after Jemima's death, and that his parents were George W. and Polly Metcalf Hoskins, and that George W. was the son of Thomas Hoskins/Haskins/Hoskin/etc.They came early from CT to Lewis County, according to one of the Histories I found [Genealogical and family history of Northern New York]. That source lists three sons for Cyrus, but no daughters. Another son of Thomas Hoskins, was Thomas, b 1775ish, who married Phebe Chalker and went to Portage County, OH.I just can't find anything about Thomas Sr. or Cyrus.
