This info has been passed down through my family with a compass.
This compass was brought to this country, from England, by Joseph Horseman about 1720 - 25. After the death of Joseph Horseman it passed to Charles Horseman, son of Joseph then to Ebenezer Horseman, son of Charles then to David Horseman son of Ebenezer, then to John Horseman, brother of David. After the death of John Horseman it was given to John W, Grimes (present Holder) grandson of John Horseman on Feb. 27, 1874. It was later given to my father Karl Judson Grimes son of John William and at my fathers death in Feb. 1981 it was given to me for my youngest son who now has the compass. I started my search with Ebenezer as I felt it was an unuseal name and would be easy.

Charles Horseman was born 29 Oct 1719 at Leeds, St. Peter, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.
Marriedd Elizabeth Reed 05 Oct. 1743 Kennett, Chester Pennsylvania.
Ebenezer was born 07 Jun 1744 or 07 Aug 1744, Chester, Pennsylvania.
Mary was born 1744 Kennett, Chester Pennsylvania. Wonder if they were twins.
David was born 21 Jan. 1745 Fredrick, Virginia.
John was born 1746, Fredrick Virginia.
William was born about 1760, Chester, Pennyslvania.

The births etc I found at family search.com
From what little I know they did not stay put anywhere very long I am having trouble finding much info especially MM
records. I found a reference in Warrington MM about a grave being for Ebenezer Horsemans child.

I sure could use help.
