I dont know if this is any use to you. It may be a long shot or perhaps of no relevance.
I have been given a press cutting from (i think) 1844. In the cutting it refers to the Murder of an Eliza Ann Horsman by her husband William Crees (or Crouch unclear)at 55 Greek St Soho London. Her father was John Horsman, a confectioner of 79, Montague St Worthing.
The reason for the query of the surname is that a Mr William Crouch was hanged at Newgate for the murder of his wife in 1844 but i have found no records of the same for a Mr William Crees.

Unfortunately I am unable to verify the date or the source of the press cutting until mid August
