We have been looking for info on the City Marshall of Caldwell KS for years - finally found him listed on the Sumner County KS 1880 census as William Horse - born in KY with both parents born in KY. He was listed as age 21 but could have been born 1857 or 1859. William N Horseman. He was partners in owining a saloon with George Flatt who was from Texas. We believe that William Horseman's family may have moved from Kentucky to Texas, but we don't know which county. Any one have a 1860 KY census which might list a William N Horseman living with parents ?? Any help truely appreciated.
