Hi--My ancestor is Louis Horrell, born about 1807 or 1808, in Kentucky. He had a brother named Henry Barton Horrell, I believe, and also a brother named Benedict. I think their father was Richard Horrell, and I seem to find that they came from Maryland during the Catholic migrations. I would love to have some more information about them--they are proving rather elusive. My great-grandmother is considered the daughter of Louis Horrell, but she also was supposedly born a Cherokee who was adopted by the (Catholic, I think) Horrells and raised as their daughter. Not sure about this, of course. I think my Louis Horrell was married to Catherine Teresa Jenkins, born 1810.
Thanks. Hope to hear from you.
Tresa Reynolds.
