The closest I can come to explaining her name is that her Great Grandfather had a sister named Drucilla. I don't have anything that shows a Dorcus or Darcus or how she came by the name. Our family has tended to be rather unoriginal in naming our offspring, using names of other relatives. This may well be the case with being named after her Aunt. The Twiggs connection makes sense in that Arthur Bryant Horne's father, Joab, moved to Twiggs in 1775. If you find out, pls let me know.
