I recently found a marriage listed for George Washington Horne 1817 - ? married to Ann Pickens Dowdle 1817 KY - 1877 AL Marriage about 1840, son Joel Washington Horne born 1844 married Lettie Adams. This is the only mention I have of this marriage and the source did not have any other info on George and Ann afterwards and even stated that it was a lost line. I know that There is a George W. Horne listed here but the notation says that he was simple minded apparently from the census records. Does anyone have a Dowdle, Pickens, Horne connection??????
I have the decendents from Joel and Lettie but I have going back any further with any certainty. I am beginning to think that George is not the son of Jesse and Mary Duke as I had previously thought......any ideas are welcome
