Hello, i am also interested in this line of Horne/Horn. my ancestors were also in Darlington Co. SC. in the 1790-1809's. i have information on these Horne/Horn's. there were more than one Richard Horn. The Richard Horn in the 3rd Reg. was Richard Horn Jr. He left a widow that was in the 1820-1840 Census in Darlington Co. SC.Her name was Elizabeth Horn. She also left an estate in 1842. i believe her maiden name was Postell. as her oldest son was John Postell Horne . She had 3 sons. John, James William (he went by william)and George Hughe Postell(went by Furney). P.S. my gr-gr-gr grandfather was Sherrod Horn.he was in the 1790 Census of Cheraw District of SC and 1800 Census of Darlington Co. SC. from land records he lived in the now town of Darlington,Darlington Co. SC. We are Scotch-Irish- Indian. i have been trying to trace my line of Horne/Horn. I beleive that we descend from Richard or William Horne that were Scots banished to the English Colony of Jamestown Virginia in 1626.
always jim horn
