Hi,
Thought someone might want to see this from newsletter. Not mine.
I found a military photo in an antique shop in Salisbury (Rowan
County) North Carolina. I'd say it is from around the 1940s. It
read: "US Naval Training Station, Sampson N.Y. Signal Men Sec 3,
Class 7-44. Service School Office QM & SM Schools" Signed on the
back by some of the individuals in the photo: S. J. MAYE; Oscar
FOWLER "Ladies Man"; Joe MOLONY; Ralph HORNE; Dick WELTMAN;
Joseph YOUNG; "We parted in 7-44, But only for a better war,
Hope to see you at the end." Bill DUNMIRE; George CALLAHAN; Carl
LINDEMANN; Charles (Bud) DANIEL "Marry Minnie and stay away from
Rochester Dames." Woody BURNS "Remember the Saturday night at
Lettie's." B. T. Bill STEVENS. The original is at Ashley's
Antiques; 700 N Salisbury; Spencer, NC. The manager, Ms. Trehler
at 704/279-1242, will know what you are talking about if you
want to buy the actual picture. I took a photo of the picture.
If you would like a copy, contact me.
