Bob,
I am hoping you can share information with me regarding certain members of the Hubbard family of Anson County. I have reason to believe "Martha" Hubbard who was living with Michael C. Nash in the 1850 census for Anson County was my gggg grandmother.I strongly speculate Martha Hubbard was Michael's maternal grandmother.Martha was enumerated as head of household in the 1840 census for Anson County, so I speculate her husband had died prior to the 1840 census.I am trying to find which Hubbard she was married to, and what Martha's maiden name was.Enumerated in the privious household to that of Michael C. Nash in the 1850 census was William E. Horne, age 48. Living with him were: Sarah, age 22, Mary, age 21, Elisha, age 20, Lauren, age 33 (Lauren is listed as "Overseer"), William, age 15, Nancy, age 13, Lewis, age 9, Adison, age 3 and Sarah A., age 1.The 22 year old Sarah, I suspect was William E. Horne's 2nd wife. There was another William Horne (William Thomas Horne) that married Mary E. Hubbard.I hope you can help me in sorting out the possible connection of "Martha Hubbard" with other members of the Hubbard family and possible connection with the Horne family. Also, do you have information regarding Neely Manning Hubbard? Since William Nash (whom I am almost certain was Michael's father, and possibly the son-in-law of Martha Hubbard) had a son named Neely Elon Nash, I am thinking that Neely Manning Hubbard could had been Martha's son or nephew. Thanks, and I hope to hear from you soon.
