Leslie,

Re your enquiry for Horne families from Caithness.

There are not many Hornes up there, although many families originate from Aberdennshire, Dumbartonshire,Fifeshire, Clackmannon, and of course from the big cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

In my records I have. David Horne born 1836 in Thurso. William Horne born 1791 in Bower, and William Horne's marriage in Jan 1822, could be the same William first mentioned 1791.

If you get any useful leads from your posting it could lead to an entirely different County, possibly where the Macleods came from.

IF YOU WISH TO KEEP IN CONTACT MY E MAIL.

kind regards, Geoffrey.
