Searching for information on John Hendrick HORNE who died in 1864 in Matherville MS. The family bible has this notation: "John H. Horne, son of James A. and Rachel Horne".

John Hendrick Horne had a brother, Collins Lyle/Lyles Horne.

These two HORNE boys arrived in Wayne Co MS c1816. A document filed in 1811 in Baldwin Co GA states the boys were orphans and named John Williams Hendrick as their guardian.

It is believed the father of the two HORNE boys was James Albert HORNE, son of Ephraim HORNE and Elizabeth Williamson.

Searching for documentation on the MAIDEN NAME of the mother of these two boys. The family bible lists her only as "Rachel Horne", and her grave marker simply states "Rachel Horne, mother of John H."
