Hello Pat,
Thank you for the direction to Oakgrove. We met Bill Young at the Navarro courthouse in October of this year.He was so kind and friendly. He gave us a general idea how to get to it.We went to the Library and got a map of cemeteries numbered of Navarro Co.It is confusing to me but probably not for most people! Ha!Your directions will be so helpful when we get back over there.
I have encountered another mystery though. On the Navarro County death record book, where I got the death date of my baby uncle that died, is a pageful of other deaths. It shows at the top of the page a stillborn Horn infant who is listed as being buried in the Oakgrove Cemetery, while my baby uncle 15 spaces down from the Horn infant lists him as being buried in Horne Cemetery!
That is room for doubt as Oakgrove being the same cemetery as Oakgrove. On my uncle's death line it list a Eugene P Norwood.I guess that is who declared him dead.It does not say if this Norwood was a doctor or justice of the peace! Are you familar with the history of Navarro Co?Was this Narwood a doctor?
Thank you for taking the time to write me.I pray that you will find your health improving in days to come.I will be praying for you!
Dale
