Sorry, I cant help with any info on the other children of Mitchell. Most of the data I have access to is from 1930 back.So I can help with the parents of Mitchell.
Really need to get the 1900 census to document the parents of George Horn.I dont have access to the 1900 census index for MISSISSIPPI.
1910 OK, Creek Co, Euchee twp, dist 41, pg 64b & next,
h/h 80
Horn, George26 bn MS, Md 5yrs
, Myrtle21 bn AR
, Vernia3 bn OK (this name was hard to read?)
, Alma2 bn OK
, John1/12 bn OK (becomes Mitchell on 1930)
, Ettie18 bn MSsister
, Tempie 15 bn MSsister
, Lucie12 bn MSsister
1920 OK, Sequoyah Co, probably Vian or Long twp
Cant find them on the index.I know they are there from George's WW1 draft registration. I clicked on several ramdon pages in Vian twp and they are impossible to read, very faded.Best bet is for you to order that census film at your local FHL center(LDS) and view it first hand. You might be able to find them And any additional children.
1930 OK,Sequoyah Co, Long twp, Dist 9, pg 57b, h/h 124
Horn, George G.46 bn MS
, Myrtle41 bn AR
, Mitchell 20 bn OK
, Oscar13 bn OK
, Elmer8 bn OK
, Mary2 11/12 bn OK
Per the tree if found & cemetery record for Alma, Myrtle's maiden name was Rainwater.Cool, huh?I can send you over census data for her if you need it.
WW1 Draft Registration
George Gustar Horn
34 yrs old, bn 08 apr 1884
Residence: Vian, Sequoyah, OK
Wife: Myrtle Effie Horn
Signed: 12 sept 1918 at Sallisaw, Sequoyah Co, OK
**Note the Sallisaw name**
On the Tree I am sending over they have him as George Gustus Horn. But since George was giving the info on this 1918 form, I'd go with Gustar being the right one.
I'll send you over the tree next. Its a currant one, so you can contact the submitter and see if she has any additional info on this family group.
