I find a book at the library back when I first started researching, being new to this did not write down source. Found Jeremiah Horn. The info I kept was: Cherokee Emigration 1817-1835. Said or at least my notes say: gave up land in Hiwassee, Tenn, east of the Mississippi for land of equal value plus monetary per person and went west of the Mississippi. Left by boat or wagon .arriving at new home May 16, 1834.
Have 2 wifes listed don't know if they are correct; Nancy Procter and Sinia. I was told by a very angry person this is not true.on the census (and I failed to say where, but assume it was Tenn ) for Jeremiah Horn ,is listed : Males under 10 yrs.(4) under 25 (3) under 50 (1) Females under 10 (1) under 25 (1) under 50 (1) Also found on Roster for Confederate Military: Jeremiah; 1st Cherokee Mtd.Vol.Co. G: Jeremiah; 1st Squad Cherokee Mtd. Vol. Co.A: Jerry; 2nd Cherokee Mtd. Vol.Co.D: J.D.; 2nd
cherokee Mtd. Vol. Co.D: William; 1st Cherokee Mtd. Rifle Co. H. Can you give me any help on this. My husband's grandmother Horn said either George Horn Sr. or his wife, Martha Scott was some part Cherokee. They were b.KY,butMartha's mother was not listed as m.and b.in PA.
