Your Daniel may be descended from Daniel Horn who is mentioned in Newton Township, Muskingum Cty as early as 1804. His family intermarried with the Moore family. They were Brethren (often called Dunkard) There is an active COB at nearby Goshen and Horn-Moore cemetery records list many Horns.
Daniel's brother David is in the 1820 census of Newton Township and then disappears. For some reason Daniel with a known large family is not in the 1820 census?
