James-
Hello. I have been looking for a Choctaw-Horn connection for awhile now! I had always heard that my grandmothers gggrandmother was full-blood Choctaw and was bought from the govenor of Tennesse for $1250. I recently made contact with a lady though the web that has a copy of this marriage bond. It states that Jacob Holderfield and Elizabeth Horn were married 5-3-1828 in Wilson, Co., Tennessee and the bond price is $1250. The cosigner is Richard Horn (her father maybe?)However, on rootsweb it lists Elizabeth Horn's father as Howell Horn and her grandfather as Richard. - from North Carolina.
Have you heard of these names before? Anyone? I'm also confused about the Alabama, NC, Tennesse, Texas, Oklahoma migration. Is this all the same Horn family?
Thanks!
Heather
