Robert Horn Armistead (1807 - 1868) from North Carolina was married to Louisa Olive ((1808 - 1871) in Mississippi and one of thier sons was called John Horn.
They moved to Red River Parish in LA, and I am one of their descendants.
There is a Red River Parish book of family histories - one of which is 'The Armistead Family of the Carroll-Halfway Community', by Edward Hampton Armistead. Its part of a collection of family histories called, helpfully, 'Red River Parish - Our Heritage'.
Unfortunately I have no info on publisher or date of publication, as all I have are some xeroxed pages of it.
As for the Horn connection - all it says on the matter is this
..."Their third son [from marriage of Anthony Armistead and Elizabeth Westwood], Westwood Armistead was 1763'...'He married first a Miss Horn and thier issue consisted of William Westwood Armistead'...'Robert Horn Armistead,'...'and Mary Tucker Armistead'...
Not much help I know! Let me know if you find out any more about her.
Yours - Aly Farrow
