Horn Family: Lux to Stearns Co., MN
I am compiling a list of all Luxembourg immigrants to Stearns County in central Minnesota. I have found a family named HORN among this group. The information I have is "sketchy"
Maria/Barbara HORN, the mother, born about 1813 in Luxembourg; married John (Jean?) HORN; died - unknown.
Barbara Horn, daughter. Listed as living with her husband and widowed mother in the 1870 census for Stearns County, LeSauk Township. Barbara was born about 1844 in Luxembourg according to the census. Barbara married Peter KOENIG on 20 April 1869 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph, MN; Barbara died 19 Feb. 1875 and is buried in the St. Joseph Cemetery, SJ, MN
Susanna HORN, a daughter of Maria/Barbara HORN, and sister to Barbara HORN. Susanna was born about 1852, presumably in Luxembourg. She married Celestine KOENIG on 16 Jan. 1872 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in SJ, MN. I do not know where or when Susanna died.
It is likely that Peter Koenig and Celestine Koenig were brothers, although I have not determined this yet. I have lost track of Peter Koenig and his children with Barbara and also with Susanna Koenig and her husband Celestine after 1875. Who can help me with this mystery. Where in Luxembourg did the HORN family come from, and where did the Koenig families go? Did they move away from central Minnesota?
