Hi Candice. I'm descended from the Sutton Hopsons too. The earliest ancetor I have is a James Hopson, born 1799 and married to Elizabeth Iby (whose father was John T. Iby). They were married in Alburg, Vermont April 17, 1823 - it's listed in the town's land records - and then James died in Sutton on November 19, 1871. What I have on their family tree comes mainly from Sutton parish records and cemeteries. A few of the info points are a little confused with each other, but here are a few generations of their tree: James Hopson - b. 1799 possibly in Sutton; d. Nov 19, 1871 in Sutton m.
