I am looking for information on Mary Hopson, age 58 on the 1850 Yancey Co. NC census. She is living with Stephen and Nancy Tolly. Could she be the unmarried daughter of Benoni and Catherine Hoppes? Or is she a Hopson widow? My gg grandparents, Ebenezer Prichard and Catherine Hopson Prichard, live next door. I am trying to find how Mary and my Catherine were related. Thanks to anyone who can help with this.
