Samuel Hopper's son, Thomas (and Zachariah's brother), was married to Louisa Ritchey
From Dillard Family Assn Annual, January 1999, Details on Individuals:
Thomas Hopper ....is shown as age 35 on the 1860 census of Rabun County with his wife Louisa.He enlisted in March 1862 in Company F, 52nd Georgia Regiment, Beauregard Braves from Rabun County, and died in a Lauderdale Springs, MS hospital in May 1863 from measles.....His widow Louisa applied for a widow's pension under the 1891 Georgia legislative act paying widows of Confederate servicemen.
Zachariah and Sarah Jane were my mother-in-laws great grandparents.
