I'm just starting out, trying to sort out my mother's side of the family. My maternal grandfather was Joseph Ray Hopper. He went by Ray, and died in Topeka, Kansas in 1968. His brothers were Leonard Lee (Lee), Earl Dale (Dale), Sylvia, Clarence and I think there was one more brother. His sisters were Ilah and Flossie. I remember visiting Ilah in one of the desert states when I was young. Lee lived in Arkansas for a long time. Sylvia, it seems, had his funeral in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. And several of them lived in California at one time or another.
If any of this sounds familiar to anyone, I'd be very appreciative if someone would point me in the right direction.
