Hopper Family Genealogy Forum

Hello,
Two weeks ago I went and visited my parents, who still live in Ohio. I went to the Clover Cemetery, off of Route 40, north of Alton. I took pictures of some of the tomb stones. One of which was Rebecca (Keller/Kellar) Hopper, wife of E. (Edward) Hopper. She died on February 19, 1854; aged 33 years, 3 months and 9 days. A few plots from her was Hiram Hopper, Son of Edward and Rebecca Hopper. He died Sept 3, 18?7 I can not make out the third digit of the year. I am going to download the picture and see if I can get a better resolution to get the date. Many of the tomb stones were in poor condition. There is a iron gate around a couple of graves and a stack of headstones that are broken. The cemetery was locked so I crawled under the fencing to take a look. I would have loved to investigate the broken stones. I wasn't that brave :o) I am still in search of Alexander Hopper who claimed that he arrived to America from County Cork Ireland. I am wondering if maybe he actually came from England. Just an assumption. There was an Alexander Hopper who was born in 1741 in Cheshire England. His sibblings were Willoiam, John, and Hugh. I have no proof of the connection though.
