Hoppe/Witzke/Miller: Germany to U.S. 1892

A small band of German immigrants landed at Ellis Island in 1892. The manifest for the ship Ems lists them as:

Johanna Hoppe, age 42
Daughter Bertha, 15
Sons Otto and Franz, 9 months(?)

Herman Witzke, age 28
Albert Witzke, age 23

Ernst Miller, age 25
wife Marie/Maria (Hoppe) Miller, age 24
sons Carl and Albert

We know the Hoppes settled in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY. Johanna and children later moved to Liverpool/Warners/Salina, Onondaga County, NY (about 1904-1907(?). Another of Johanna's sons, Albert, moved to Appleton, Outagamie, WI with wife Bertha in 1904.

Some of the Millers settled in Onondaga County, NY.

Some of the Witzkes settled in Outagamie County, WI.

Other names associated later with this group are Brueggeman, Kosbab, Kirk, Polzin, Wittekind and Pennock.

We are at at standstill with the Hoppe/Miller/Witzke travel group. Any information about their original hometown, lineage, or relatives already in the U.S. before 1892 would be appreciated.
