John R. Hopkins,( b. 1845) and the Mayflower Kettle

While doing some research in Albany, Kentucky, I discovered evidence that a John R. Hopkins, (b. 1845, d. 1929) claimed to have posession of a kettle that came over on the MayFlower. He supposedly brought it to Texas before his death. Any info, please contact me.
