My gr-gr grandfather was James S. Hooton born 8/26/1820 in Olive Township, Ky. died 4/3/1896 and married to Lydia Wilfong(Witfong?) I believe his fahter's name wa supposed to be Thomas. Is this the same one? Do you have any information further back? I am descended from his son, William Micheal Hooton and his son Marvin L. Hooton was my grandfather. I have some information about the family of William Micheal on down.
