For those of you on the message board who have a copy of the Hooten book, has anyone thought about contacting the author and seeing if he would allow the book to be copied to cd, or if he's deceased, check with his family, it can be done legally. That's what we did, on my grandmother's Slover side. One lady typed, several of the cousins who had books, proof read the pages, we added updates at the end and everybody got a copy when it was finished. Since there weren't any more copies to be found, it made the book accessible to those of us researching now and for future genealogists future.
