In reply to Absolom Hooper. The DAR Patroit Index showes that Enos C. Hooper was the son of Absolom and Sarah Hooper. And I have seen documintation that Enos C. and Enos McHenery Hooper claimed To be of No relation. Their Children Married. In one of the census records ( I am not sure of which one righ now) it showes that Matilda was born in S.C. and Absolom Was born in Haywood Co. N.C.
Do you have any information on him being an Indian agent after the Revolutionary War?
