Hooper by Jane Blyseth of 4014 I would try to get their Marriage Certificate (Married 13 October 1884, Price County, Wisconsin). Or his death certificate in Price County Wisconsin. That will tell you where he was born. Each of the census records has him being born: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and New York. Boy - did he get around. Ironic, but my Greatgrandmother Lucy Hooper was born 3 October 1862 in Boston, her brother Charles Henry was born 28 July 1868. We have no record of him.
