Grandfather: William Henry Hooper (possibility that he was born Vickers-Hooper)
Dob:August 27, 1868 in Devonshire, England
Parents:Unknown, but believed that his father was also William Henry Hooper
Siblings:Believed to have had a twin by the name of Sidney Newton Hooper who
died in infancy.
Immigration:As an orphan, he travelled to Canada in August, 1882 at the age of
Fourteen.It is believed that he took passage on the “Port Alberni” and was
met in Montreal by his sister, name unknown.He returned to England to
complete his education, living with his uncle who was a hotel operator in
Mevagissey, and then immigrated to Canada (year unknown).
