I'm busy, busy, busy working on three other family trees but someday want to work on the Hookway Family Tree. My mother was one of four Hookway girls and I was told when they passed on that would be the end of the Hookways. Wrong. I have a fair bit of info and would like to see were it all fits. In 1972, a fellow by the name of Ralph O. Hookway put a book together on numerous Hookway families. Have you seen that book? My grandfather was George Hookway and his father, Captain William Hookway. It is said that he sailed around the world three times. I have a painting of his ship leaving London Derry. Besides George there was William who went to Chicago; Thomas who went to Seattle, Washington and Mary. All four children were born in Blanshard Township, Perth County, Ontario. (About 30 miles north/east of London, Ontario.
I would love to share more info on the Hookways and also gather more info.
