Unfortunately I don't have him as one of Richard and Mary's children. My Hookways seem to have come from the Bideford and Buckland Brewer area. However I found the following info on Walter on the 1881 census:
16 St Paul St., Exeter St Paul, Devon;
Walter Hookway was the head. He was a baker employing 1 man and 2 boys. He was 55 and was born in Sandford, Devon; his wife, Sally, was 54 and born in Crediton; their daughter, Fanny, was unmarried, an assistant in a shop, aged 25 and was born in Exeter; their grandson, William W Woolway, was 3 and was born in Stonehouse; and their nephew, George G Daw, was a baker's assistant, aged 15 and was born in Moncton Farleigh, Wilts.
I hope this is useful!
