Ida Mae Hobbs, dob:8/19/1898, SSN: 461-24-6238, died 12/26/1958 or 1959, certificate: 106360-81, Texas Death Index. Don't know if this is your IDA, but found it recently on a trip to the Temple, Texas public library. I am researching IDA Hobbs(b. Nov. 1883 in Tennessee) Parents were Ezekiel P. Hobbs and Tabitha (Meeks) Hobbs. Ida married Allen Duncan Hooks (my research project) who was Sheriff of Milam County, Texas 1910-1918. They had a neice, possibly adopted, Lucile V. Hobbs (b. abt. 1912) living with them. Sheriff Hooks died in an insane asylum in 1920. Ida remarried to a Henry Holzhauer of Dallas abt. 1930. Lucile V.Hobbs was still living with Ida in Dallas in the 1930 Census. Lucile possibly married Perry M. Wimberly in 1931 and then Craig E. Gunter in 1956. I am desperately seeking any info on any of these individuals in hopes of locating a photo of Sheriff Allen Duncan Hooks. Unknown where my Ida died or what her last name may have been after Henry Holzhauer died in 1956.
