Gerry,

Thank you for your reply. Here are more details about my family.

Leonard S. Hooks b. 1893 d. 1934
married
Nicey Irene Garris b. 1895 d. 1979

They had three children:
Leonard Hugh Hooks (my grandfather)
b. Jan. 3, 1919 d. Feb. 11, 1972
Harold Martin Hooks b. 1920 d. Oct. 2001
Jane Gold Hooks

My grandfather married into the Peacock Family (Mamie Bell Peacock b. July 3, 1920). We probably have some Aycocks in our line. I have access to the Fremont Cemetary if this would be of any help to you. My cousin who lives in Fremont is very interested in what I am doing and is more than willing to help me go through the cemetary as well as the small family cemetary that we have. We also have an abandoned cemetary that has just been found and fixed up. It is a part of the National Registry of Historical Landmarks. It has Civil War Soldiers buried in it.

I will go to the Roots web site. Thank you for assisting me with your access. Let me know if there is any connection based on the information I have listed. A nice man in Texas has helped me with the Garris line. Even if we are not related, I appreciate the information about the books. I hope to get down to Goldsboro over my holiday break.

Thanks,

Connie Merritt
