Celeste,
Janelle's message is #839 and she DOES NOT state that this is HER LINE.According to her posting, she says that Jane [1] Bean is HER HUSBANDS great, great, grandmother. She goes on to state that HIS GREAT-GRANDFATHER move to Polk County.
I have found no connection between the Henningtons and Robert Hooker's line.
I posted a message to Janelle and wrote privately, requesting additional information for confirmation of ROBERT being married to Jane [2] Bean and received NO REPLY.
If one does a poor job of only looking at a few records, such as the census records, without checking, tax records or other sources to see what other Hookers were in the county during the period of the birth of Nancy Jane Hooker's ASSUMED children, then, yes they would come to the conclusion that Robert could have been the father of Nancy's children.SUCH IS NOT THE CASE.
The Mary Jane Hooker listed on the 1850 Tyler Co census, as living with James Green, Sr. and Catherine Green, age 7, born 1843, is not the same Mary Jane Hooker residing with Jane Bean, as age 4, born 1846.
Nor is the Robert "D" Hooker, listed as age 6/1844, the same as the Robert "Hardin" Hooker, age 3/1847, listed in Polk Co. living with Robert and EASTER Mary Hooker, nee Hardin.
Respectfully,
Linda
