I have spoken by phone to the author of this book, There are some inacuracies esp in the g-parents of S. Thomas Hooker - his g-parents were Gabriel and Nancy Pack Hooker. Gabriel ( b c 1804/07 in PCVA) was the youngest son of Wm Hooker of Patrick Co.,VA ( b c 1755, d after 1850 in PCVA).
Look at the Guion Roll posts by Sharon Marsalis on this forum (above yours). The family called this Samuel Thomas by his middle name Thomas to keep cnfusion from his father, Samuel, son of Gabriel. His brothers and sisteres listed their parents and g-parents and g-g-parents as I listed here.
We have lots on this family and are hoping for some yDNA tests soon. They appear to be cousins to the children and g-children of Samuel of PCVA who was b c 1765 and d after 1840.
