Does anyone have info on Lewis H. Hooker (b c 1844 in MS) living in Eastland Co., TX in 1880? He had sons Lee age 12 in 1880, b in MS and Benton (possibly known as Ben?) age 2 in 1880, b TX). Lewis' wife was Sarah (b c 1846 in MS). Their daughters were: Minnie b c 1870, Jennie b c 1873, Clara b c 1876 (all 3 in b. TX). From this it appears Lewis and his family moved to TX before 1870. Lewis' parents were also living in Eastland Co.,TX in 1880.
Lewis was son of Wm R. Hooker (b c 1810 in TN) and Elizabeth (b c 1805 in VA).
Elizabeth was a widow when she married Wm R.; she had two older children. There is a question as to if Wm had a first wife (who was younger than Wm in 1840 in AL), but by 1850 he was married to Elizabeth (older than Wm R), and she and her 2 children had been b VA.
