Jeanne:
I am descended from Johnathan Frizzelle Hooker, brother to the two who went to Missouri.Johnathan was my great, great grandfather. My late uncle, Malcolm DeWitt Hooker researched the descendents of Benjamin and Ann Frizzelle Hooker, and recorded them in a large manuscript. This particular Benjamin was Benjamin Hooker II, and they moved to Wilson County, Tennessee in 1809.The farm remained in the Hooker family until Uncle Witt's death in 1941.(That was Ransom DeWitt Hooker, my father's grand-uncle, grandson of Benjamin II and nephew of Benjamin III.)I have been to the farm a couple of times, the most recently in 1979, when a number of relatives from the Missouri branch were present for an extended family reunion. The County seat, I believe, is in Lebanon, Tennessee; the farm is near Gladeville.
I shall be delighted to assist you with whatever you would like to know from Uncle Malcolm's manuscript. He had a large section on the LaClede County Hookers!
You may reach me at [email protected].
