Hook dna testing

Has any one (male) done any dna testing with any of the different companies? I would be interested in doing it if there are others who have done so. I am still stuck trying to determine who my gggrandfather, John Hook, from the Adams Co. Ohio area c. early 1800's was. I have done dna testing with the Sorenson test site, but so far there has not been any other Hook's tested there.
