Might these be the same woman? I wonder this because Bethiah/Bethia b. 1788 is supposedly the daughter of Allen Hood b. ~1750. I have seen no proof of this relationship. It seems to me that people are slapping the two together as father and daughter because they both lived in Lancaster, SC. But Bedia of Nansemond has a brother named Allen Hood. That might explain the presence of an Allen. In some languages, like Irish and German, "th" is pronounced like "t" or "d". Bethia Hood married ________ Cousar and, I think, gave birth to my ancestor Richard Henry Cousar and his sister P N Cousar. She then married Andrew Gamble. I have seen nothing about Bedia's husband or offspring. The birthday discrepancy might be explained if Bethia's headstone shows her Christening date, not her birthday. Bedia b. 1787 was a triplet with Caliac and Bridget Hood. Notify Administrator about this message?
