There are a large number of HOOD families living in Allegheny County, PA in both the 1900 and 1910 census.

I saw several males born about the right year with middle initials of E.

I agree with Tim you should locate obituaries on your family members working backwards.

There is a good chance there are many more HOOD relatives in this vicinity of Pennsylvania.
