From the Blakely News
At the September term, 1872, of the Superior Court of Clay County [Georgia], Arthur Hood announced the death of Col. Richard Sims. On motion, the Court appointed Arthur Hood, Isaac E. Bower, Herbert Fielder, F. L. Douglass, Thomas F. Jones, and Isaac A. Bush, Esqrs. a committee, with instructions to report at Early Superior Court.

Atlanta, Ga., Nov. 21.—The following
Judges of the Superior Court were elected to-day by
the Legislature: Augusta Circuit, Claiborn Snead;
Brunswick, John S. Harris; Flint, Alexander M.
Speer; Middle, Herschel V. Johnson; Ocmalgee,
Thomas G. Lawson; Rome, John W. Hunderwood;
Southern, Augustus H. Hansel; Pataula, Arthur
Hood; Western, Alexander S. Irwin.
