Hi John,
I'm wondering if you are the same John Hood from Ontario who so kindly sent me photos of Hood headstones from the Nairn cemetery several years ago? I think the families are somehow connected. My Great-great Grandfather was James Hood married to Ann? They named their daughter Rebecca Miller Hood and there is another Rebecca Miller who married Samuel Hood on a headstone in that same cemetery. Our family came from Strabane, Newtownstewart, County Tyrone Ireland. I have been searching for a connection to Rebecca Miller(wife of Samuel Hood) who died June 15, 1886..and my great Grandmother Rebecca Miller Hood, daughter of Ann and James Hood. The second Rebecca married Wesley H. Heslop in Beverly, Freelton Ont.
I have had information from a woman in Ontario who is the great granddaughter of another of James and Ann's children, Samuel Hood, who married Elizabeth Cook. If any small portion of this makes sense to you please contact me.
