I am looking for information on the lamplighter Samuel Hood, who is listed in the 1890 Philadelphia City Directory as living at 2038 Blair.

I believe that he may be a brother to my g-grandfather, John James Hood. John James Hood's parents were Robert Hood and Eliza-Jane Pollock, who married in Strabane, Co. Tyrone, Ireland around 1850.
