White Co, IL: Will of James Hood, names; wife, Mehala Hood
Grandchildren: James and Rachel Hood, children of my son Allen Hood, deceased (was in Blackhawk War)
Grandchildren: Melesay Hood, Louisa Hood, Selina (could be Sylvania) Hood, children of my son Anderson Hood, deceased (was in Blackhawk War)
Also names Elysia Hutson, as receiving equal shares same as wife and grandchildren
Executor is Henry Stees, who later does not "qualify" and second named is executor William B Ridgway
Per Executor's deed, Mt Carmel, Wabash Co, IL: James Hood passed on November 28, 1865 and Mahala Hood passed on February 15/16 1876
